Written by PhotoShop News. What’s Unique to Photohop Extended?
Take the Red Pill or the Blue Pill?
John Nack, Photoshop Product Manager, talks about what is unique to Photoshop CS3 Extended in a post on his Adobe blog. Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended has EVERYTHING the regular Photoshop CS3 has plus extended functionality designed for certain professions that needed even more stuff.
Now, everybody in the “know” knows that the code name for Photoshop CS3 was Red Pill (as in “take the red pill” from the movie Matrix).
But not everybody knows that at least for a time, Photoshop CS3 Extended was code named “Extra Strength”. So, to me, that means Photoshop CS3 Extended was the “Blue Pill”…so, I kinda think of Photoshop CS3 Extended as the “Viagra Version” of Photoshop CS3.

Written by PhotoShop News.3Dconnexion Announces SpaceNavigator Support for Photoshop CS3
Press Release: SAN JOSE, Calif. – Mar. 28, 2007 – 3Dconnexion, a Logitech company, today announced that its SpaceNavigator™ device supports the recently announced Adobe® Photoshop® CS3 and Photoshop CS3 Extended software editions. Delivering powerful and intuitive 3D navigation and control, the SpaceNavigator device enables creative professionals working with 3D objects in Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended to simultaneously pan, zoom and rotate camera views and 3D objects.
The integration of 3D technology in digital imaging tools is accentuating the limits of the traditional keyboard and mouse for manipulating 3D objects, and driving the need for functional 3D navigation tools. Paired with Photoshop CS3 Extended, the SpaceNavigator device allows digital content creators, architects, product designers, and those creating 3D tools for training and simulation to significantly enhance their 3D design experience and workflow.
“The SpaceNavigator device gives precise and continuous visual control of 3D models within Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended without switching tools, […]

Written by PhotoShop News.Live From New York, it’s CS3
Hello from the Big Apple!
PhotoshopNews will be blogging live from the Adobe Creative Suite 3 Announcement event to be held at 3:30PM Eastern time.
We’ll have photos from Seth Resnick and myself as well as backstage stuff including some party pics.
Since Adobe will be webcasting the event, you can watch the actual announcement live by visiting http://www.adobe.com/go/cs3launch.
This page will be updated during the event and even into the early morning (if we can stay sober enough to shoot and write).
I don’t know when the web cast is due to start…you might want to get in early if there is a server backlog. We’ll start posting stuff here as soon as we get in the venue.
Stay tuned…
